My oh my... it's been almost 2 weeks since I've last blogged!!! Guess what?? I'm already into my 2nd week of the final attachment. Eversince the start of attachment I've been feeling tired to blog & my only priority is to catch up with my beauty sleep because I need a lot of energy to work.

I'm getting a bit impatient with typing now because it's either the server is slow or my laptop is lagging!!!! So sianz....

I've just booked another lesson with my driving instructor & I've paused learning since last week because of his hectic schedule & my shift hours. Sometimes I wonder why did I learn driving for since I'm unable to afford a car. I've been thinking I can't keep taking hippo's car out to drive all the time because he need to work & both he & his dad worked at separate locations most of the time. But then again consider the location of my future workplace, it's impossible to report work at 7am when the first bus starts running at 6am ++ & I need to change 2 buses. Too bad hippo has to chaffuer me for the rest of my 2 years contract with AH.

Talking about bonding with AH makes me feel a little regretful yet appreciative. In this coming 2 years I'll be working as a role of assistant nurse while on the other hand I can expose myself to the staff nurse's roles. I've been contemplating whether to become staff nurse anot because I've witness the stress, difficulties & challenges of a staff nurse's job. I'm not fearful of this prospect because even now as a student nurse I do face my own level of stress. It's just that once I've become a staff nurse, I will not have time for family commitments anymore not to mention starting up a family.

I've talked to hippo about this issue before & he thinks that I can just stay as an assistant nurse & not worry about earning more money by becoming a staff nurse because he has enough money to support me. This is true but I don't like that idea because I want more money to spend, more power to execute my duties & more dignity to earn respect. I cannot suppress my ambitious thoughts that I must keep climbing higher, so I'm a tad sad when I approached the HR few days ago to find out if I can graduate to diploma studies first. Of course the answer is no & I've to accept the fact. I can only pursure the diploma after I've finished the bond with the ward sister's recommendations. This goes to show that I must work hard & smart to get recognition. Luckily my school grades are very good so it also enhances my chances of getting into a poly with a sister's recommendation. Even with no recommendation, I can also apply for poly without a sponsorship because grades still play a part. School grades & sister's recommendation can be interdependent or independent variables in applying for a diploma.

Come to think of it, if I've no contract with AH then I can apply for diploma course but whether if I will get a place is another concern because majority of the current cohort fits the criteria of the polytechnic. I've spoken to my lecturer & she gave me some valuable advice. She told me polytechnic only recruits 5% of ITE graduates each year while majority vacancies are for 'O' level holders. Therefore since this cohort's GPA is so good, it's good to start work first then apply for poly with hospital's recommendation then the chances is superly higher than fresh ITE graduates. I feel that what she's said is true & I must admit this cohort is very competitive therefore my chances are slim, I also do noticed that our junior intakes aren't that competitive because I've seen majority of them are slackers & if I registered for poly 2 years later, my chances are higher!!!

On the other hand, I'm eligible for 2.5 years of diploma course & was pretty happy with my results. However my lecturer advised me not to opt for 2.5 years because no doubt the first semester modules are almost the same as what we learned from ITE but the the diploma modules are more sophisticated & detailed. If we skipped first semester then we'll be unable to cope with second semester because we're unable to apply to the new modules. This is where we'll lose out.

I like my current clinical lecturer because she's pleasant, calm & approachable. She likes to share with us her experiences & advices. A very young teacher & she's just gave birth to 2nd child. I'm fortunate enough to have such pleasant clinical lecturers throughout my attachment. I must say each of them held high expectations of me when they assess my skills because they want to award me good grades. I'm thankful that they think so highly of me esp my current lecturer. She gave me hope in working hard because once she told me that I've no problem in achieving 'A' based on my last attachment performance. That didn't stop me from improving further because I've to keep up with my grades in order to become a 'high flyer'!!!! Muahahaha...

Now that it's the final attachment, most of the skills I've learned in the past are at my fingertips now because I've been mastering them during work. I guess I won't have jitters when I start working!!! Haha....

I've just rebonded my hair again & this time round it's flatter than the previous, I guess maybe my face is getting rounder or what???? I've to keep shedding off fats & watch my diet or else I'll start looking old! Eeuu... I dislike round face with double chin, so ugly! I've stopped going to gym because it's tiring during attachment, now my weekends are reserved for recharging myself. Maybe will go gym once a while ba...

Last night went shopping with hippo's family except his father at orchard for CNY clothes. I guess only his mum managed to buy her clothes because we couldn't get what we want. I spotted this pink Guess dress (of course from Guess shop) & think it's kinda sweet but hippo wants me to wear something more mature & elegant to show off to his relatives. Since he's earned such a large sum recently then I won't hesitate to splurge again!!! Muahahaha... tomorrow we're going to marina square to shop again. But I prefer to let him settle his family's CNY clothes first then come my turn. I think his mum hasn't done enough shopping because she bought few items only. The next worry would be his brother because he didn't know what he wants. He wears whatever his mum bought for him only. Then come his sister, his sister likes branded designers so do I, but I'm trying to avoid buying the same brand as her because dun wanna be a copycat. My only concern is hippo must buy clothes for himself too because he only thinks for others not himself. He wants me to buy him another Lacoste shirt.... diaoz..... my pocket's hole is getting bigger!!! Never mind, charge to his credit first then slowly pay him back!!!! Muahahahah....

Actually I've spotted 2 nice designer clothes from this month's issue Female magazine. 1 of the designs come from Raoul & the other is from Loewe. The Raoul one is a cotton & lycra jumpsuit whereas the Loewe is a halter neck mini dress. Both are white in colour & equally sexy!!!! Lolz...

I've only managed to get the picture of my favourite dress from Loewe but not from Raoul because the catalouge are not out yet. In fact it's already featured in Female magazine.
