Ever wonder what have I been doing lately??? Well, here's a brief update...

Monday - went for 1st session of free facial treatment by Shiseido. Lasted for 1.5 hrs & I felt good for a while because it moisturized my severe dehydrated face. Dammed my dry skin!!!! Used to have a oily T-zone but now it became so dry that my skin has been peeling almost everyday. All I can do is to keep buying different types of moisturizers to hydrate my skin. But the sad thing is, I've also a sensitive skin so when in touch with even a mild moisturizer can burn my skin. The only brand which wouldn't burn my face is Fancl because it has some milk content & I guess I've to stick to this brand. Yea...

Tuesday - got up @ 6.15am to get ready to volunteer my nursing skills @ Assisi Hospice beside Mount Alvernia. I got this deal last Thursday & didn't have a chance to tell here because been occupied with other stuff. My role?? Working like a patient care assistant since my licence is not issued yet. Like other nurses, I too start work with them at 7am. But they don't let me join them for passing report. =( The only difference between a volunteer nurse & the staff there is that I don't get paid & I worked 1/2 of a shift.

Wednesday - 2nd day volunteering @ the Assisi Hospice again. This time I've noticed the ward don't have any emergency trolley & suction outlet. I believe it's because their purpose in keeping these terminally ill patients is to render palliative care only. I quite enjoy working over there because it keeps me busy all the way till my break time. However I didn't have much opportunity to display my nursing skills except changing & sponging the patients, feeding via NGT & taking temperature. After such a long break for the past 1 month, I still enjoy doing nursing & I'm glad to have found a place to liven up my nursing skills.

On the same night, I received a letter from my school. I've never expected this letter. I've been awarded the Certificate of Merit, which means I'm 1 of the top students in the nursing dept!!!! How elated I was.... The awarding of this cert will be carried out in July so I guess I've to apply for another leave. When I was doing Secretarial studies I've never been awarded this award before. I'm sooooo lucky!!!! To be awarded with COM, my career & future studies will be highly regarded.

Thursday - was supposed to do my 3rd day of volunteering in noon shift when AH HR called. Feeling overwhelmed by the call, I called up Assisi Hospice to quit my voluntary work. Sharon, Baoling, Ain & me met up together to do the medical checkup & collect our uniform. Imagine how excited we were but we spent almost 1/2 a day . We'll be starting work on 7 May except Baoling. She'll be starting work on 14 May because she's going overseas with her friends.

Poor Kak Nur!!!! I just find it amusing when she's supposed to leave for Bangkok happily but then suddenly got perturbed by the call from AH. Now my only concern is: where will we be posted to???

Tomorrow - going SNB to apply for nursing licence with them. Later meeting up with Gavin for a coffee chat. I'm glad to have a friend who always feel proud of my achievements. Thought of doing a big shopping before I start work. Hee hee....

Gtg... I'm damm tired....
