Today's another off day. 1 day. Nowadays I dun fear going to work anymore, in fact I loved going to work although it's really tiring. It made me realised time can pass real fast when you don't keep tracking it. Always be positive.

I think I'm staying put in my job & not moving anywhere. I feel comfortable working in a place where I used to attached to during my student days. I was groomed from there & I'm familiar with the routine. It's a waste to join another setting & re learn their policies & protocols. I must say it's really challenging because I personally feel that it's not easy to nurse these sickly people. I must be thicked-skinned, understanding, empathetic, tolerant & brave. I may have some bad days but I dun let it affect me deeply, afterall life is full of ups & downs. The job satisfaction is there. People appreciate my care. Some of these patients can empathize with my job & tried all ways not to disturb me although they're in pain. I knew I've to tried my best to make them feel at ease. I'm doing well not to aim for promotion, it's a humanity touch. I like to see those patients under my care happy & comfortable. I'll feel proud & satisfied.

The dammed JCI is coming. I dunno my roster yet. I've a feeling Sister will keep us away from these auditors because we're still greenhorn. My thumbdrive is faulty so I'm unable to download those SOPs. I dun mean to act 'garang', it's good to know these SOPs so I can practice safely & no one can find fault with me. I'm glad to know Sister has received feedback from my colleagues that I can work independently. Yesterday a Staff Nurse just blurted it out in front of me, Sister & Mary Chan that I'll be going to NYP next year. I stared at Sister but she looked away. Mary Chan told me I've a high chance of getting a direct entry to do diploma because of my academic performance. I smiled quietly thinking I dun wanna be sponsored by hospital again. I just want back my freedom.

I've beginning to like Mary Chan although she's very noisy at times!!! She's patience & good natured. When she told me that she's going to run through all my competency skills, I nodded my head enthusiastically because no one is free to sign for my competency checklist. Although I'm dead tired, I'm willing to give her my extra 2 hrs to let her guide & teach me. I learned alot from her. So long someone is here to guide & teach me, I'm most willing to stay put. In fact some of my colleagues did help me.

The poor hippo is still trying to raise money to repay my bond. He doesn't know I'm staying put. I dun wanna tell him yet because this sum of money can be set aside for other purposes. Anyway he's unable to sell his car after the evaluation because it's gonna be a huge loss & will cause uproars among his family.

I'm still alive & kicking.....
